feeling a bit sheepish

the wooly-brained ramblings of a knitter and novice spinner... it may be 'a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing'...but it's mine ;-)

progression

(this was more fun as a slideshow but apparently blogger doesn't allow javascripts *sigh*)

it's not anywhere near as impressive as mamacate's shawl, but this is the first thing i've ever knit with something i've spun...and it still amazes me that i was able to spin something that looks amazingly like yarn...and knits up like it too ;-)

8" square for the John Glick Memorial Blanket (to be mailed out this week)

pattern: "king charles brocade" from Barbara Walker's A Treasury of Knitting Patterns
yarn: handspun (my own! eek lol) from undyed Targhee roving
needles: Denise, size 6

i think i'm gonna have to get busy and spin up enough for a larger project...i'm hooked!

That square is very pretty, and the fact that you "made" the yarn makes it that much more special. Just beautiful!
